HISTORY
1984
In 1984 Roberto Bailly was employed at a sailmaker called Cognac Velas. It was his first professional contact with fabrics, sewing machines and marine fabrication.
1986
In 1986 Bailly joined Wedekind Sails and Canvas CO in NY - USA where he became interested in the marine canvas business.
Bailly then decided to return to Brazil and apply the knowledge acquired with Jack Wedekind on his own new company: BAILLY capotaria náutica.
The contact with Jack Wedekind did not end there, so Bailly returned to NY to help deliver orders for Jack's high seasons, taking the opportunity to improve his knowledge and always returning with new tools and production processes ideas.
2001
In 2001 BAILLY opened the second shop. The new one in Angra dos Reis.
2008
BAILLY joins the MFA (Marine Fabricator Association).
2009
BAILLY started to use 3D design methods and new production processes with digital cutting.
2014
In 2014, BAILLY became a distributor of Sumbrella Marine canvas in Brazil.
2023
BAILLY opened a new facility in the state of Santa Catarina - south of Brazil
